Fall is slowly but surely making its way to Texas! FINALLY!

Mornings are chilly but it is still up to 80 degrees by the afternoon. Gotta love that awkward moment when you are dressed for fall in the morning and then sweating by the afternoon. That is why a versatile piece to have for fall is key. What could possibly be more versatile than a great shift dress? A simple, black shift dress to be exact. This dress is perfect for fall and under $10!!!! I’ve already worn it WAY more times than I care to admit.  It can be dressed up or down with ease and made perfectly appropriate for any season.

A simple way to add a pop of plaid to a basic dress? Throw on a scarf and add booties. This one from ASOS is sold out but I have loved this one and this oneThese booties from Target go with everything! They are perfect with leggings or dresses. I added some arm candy and my everyday basic white girl PSL from Starbucks.  🙂

For a dressier and classic look, you can the pair a shift dress with just pearls and neutral or black heels. For the office, grab some dressy flats and throw on a cardigan to keep it business casual.

  1. Under 10 bucks for that dress!!! What a steal lady! I am obsessing over blanket scarves again this season- they are so warm and cute, so I have a hard time passing them up!! Booties are also a necessity for me!

P.S. I hope you don’t mind, but I added you as one of my blogs to read on today’s post and borrowed a photo to go along with it. 🙂

    1. Thanks Erin! Happy Monday… This is my go-to arm candy all of the time. Some are from Purple Peridot, Charming Charlie and Nordstroms. You can usually find good deals on these bracelets. Thanks for the feature! I love following your blog and learning more about you. Have a great week friend! 🙂

  3. I know this is a fashion post, but I’m too obsessed with your hair!! I wish I could have long hair so I could do that style. On to the outfit, I love it. I have a similar dress from Old Navy that I could seriously wear every day. I’m so glad scarf season is here!!
