Hello Beauties! Happy Monday!
It’s been a long ol’ time since I’ve done a life update post and I felt like we needed to have a catch up. So many amazing ‘blog things’ have been happening recently and I NEED to talk to you about them! I guess I’m also going to use this post as an excuse to give you some updates on work, family and life at the moment.

Recently, I have announced a new domain and website for KingdomofSequins. I have been pouring my heart and soul into creating everything for this. This is part of the lack of posts and presence from yours truly. I have been working really hard at moving my blog over to a self-hosted site which is a lot more work than I had anticipated. I want to have more freedom with my blog which is what inspired me to do this move but I didn’t realize it would take me so long to get everything up and ready.
I’m one of those people who are all or nothing. Whether it’s a diet or cleaning my house or cooking or whatever. I’m all in or I’m all out. Needless to say, as for blogging about my life, I’ve been a little all over the place. Life in general has been a little crazy. Work = CRAZY!!!!
If you did not already know, I work full time at a global company. I am the EA for four executives and I support all of the US offices. That in itself is a HUGE undertaking, especially, when I am doing it alone. I love what I do and wouldn’t change it for anything but it is a lot of work. October/November is the time for our company to make “changes” aka “org changes”. It happens every year so we are all prepared, especially myself who has to support any and ALL paperwork! Work has taken over my entire life at the moment!
ON TOP OF, my four year old son who is in about every activity you can imagine!
We are at soccer practice Mondays, me teaching dance Tuesdays, watching Chloe (my step-daughter) cheer on Thursdays and of course Soccer games Saturdays. Oh yes, and not to mention, every kids birthday party in Dallas every weekend!

With this being said, I do apologize for the lack of updates on the blog lately 🙂
Until the new site goes live, which will hopefully be towards to end of the month, posting might be a bit sporadic around here as I work on content for the big reveal. However I’m hoping to get back to my usual three posts a week once we go live!
Also, I just want to say thank you so much to the amazing followers! I know I say this a lot, but you (yes, you reading this right now) make writing these posts and working on the blog worthwhile! Thank you so much for supporting this little space on the internet, it’s such a lovely community that we all get to be a part of.
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.

I hope you are having an amazing month so far!
Stay tuned friends!
Brittany 🙂

So excited for your big reveal! I moved to a self hosted site last month and I definitely underestimated the amount of time it takes to transfer domains and get things up and running. Also, I work in HR for a huge global company as well, so I feel your pain on the org changes. Congrats and can’t wait to see it!

Thanks for relating lol – I am def not a techy person at all so just understanding what everything is has been a struggle! One day at a time is what I keep telling myself… Glad we can relate in the work world too! This is crazyness 🙂

When changing my blog name I had the option to keep on .com or change to .org and I decided to keep with .com for now…. knowing that I’ll need to move to self-hosted eventually! Such a big undertaking, but will allow for full control over your site. It’ll be worth it – in the meantime try to stay sane with lots of coffee and know that you are doing an amazing job at life, blogging, motherhood, etc etc etc! love ya!

Love your scarf! Your son is adorable. I stay at home full time with my girls. I don’t work outside the home right now, and I find it hard to find the time to write blog posts, so I don’t know how you do it! Keep up the good work.

I am so excited for your new site! And just for you in general! I started trying to move my site over and my laziness took over and derailed it. But I’d love to hear more about the move! (Once things calm down of course!) I can only imagine how fantastic it’s going to be!

That is what is really taking the longest! Just transferring everything over to new site. I am not a graphic designer either so this is all “gibberish” to me lol – I will be glad to share tricks I came across too 🙂
